I was on the Inspiration Thanksgiving 2002 and it was a great ship. Please do not allow the opinion of one person cause any hesitation. Our family has been on 6 Carnival cruises in the past 4 years (going on #7 in March) and hubby has been sailing with them for over 20 years. He started with he was a single guy and this will be his 16th cruise...all with Carnival.
We have always found Camp Carnival to be reliable and entertaining for our children. Older teens (16- up) are caught between that too old for Camp and too young to party....so I understand that they can sometimes feel left out. But my 15 year old (a couple of weeks ago on the Conquest) ended up playing ping pong (his favorite) with some guys 14 - 20.
I would suggest you go on the Reader Reviews and see what they say about this ship. Especially the most recent reviews.
If Billy Blue is still in the Piano Bar, tell him his "Christian friend" says hello. A small word of warning...he is a brilliant musician...but he does get a little :blue: as the night goes on.
We found this ship to be on par with the rest of the Carnival ships we have sailed on. And we have always been very pleased.
