Hello all!
I am using my girlfriend's name to compose this post so don't be confused.......all those questions about formal gowns were not from me!!
Can any guys out there who've been on the Destiny tell me what I can do while my girlfriend is at the pool, on the beach etc.....? I mean, I like a little sun too, but she REALLY likes it!!!
I'm not a guy but............
You will have a great time. There is plenty of shade, bring a good book and relax. There is always something to eat and then you could drink Seriously there are lots of activities on board. I'm sure you will have a wonderful time. If you are at a beach they have umbrellas and shade huts, etc. Most places offer water sports. You will most likely hook up with friends on board and maybe you'll find someone in the same situation. Don't be afraid to introduce yourself and meet new people. (Does anyone remember the Mad About You episode where Paul and Jamie went to a resort and kept changing their identities? One of my favorites!)People watching is excellent. Don't sweat it you'll have a blast. Have an awesome time!

I was beginning to wonder about you Waters! I love the sun and my husband is not crazt about it altho he likes me being tan. He peruses the shops, goes to the casino, plays bingo, goes to the spa for the sauna/steam room, attends some of the many activities available. There is always something to do. You will not have a problem finding something to do. We were on the Triumph which is in the same class as the Destiny and he always kept busy. Happy sailing!

I kinda have the same problem with my wife. She looks for a cruise with max days at sea and would spend every daytime moment (aside from dining times) lying on deck in the sun. We usually find a place on deck where there's both a spot in the sun and a spot in the shade nearby. When I get bored with this relaxation, I usually find some activity around to occupy myself, such as ping pong, movie, silly contests going on, or workout. Seems that SOMETHING is scheduled at least every hour or so, except for time spent in port, when such activities seem more scarce. We always seem to get off the ship and discover what is happening in port. If all else fails, you can always venture up to the topless deck and view the scenery there. Actually, I rather enjoy a little extra time during the day to rest up for the evening shows and activities which often last well past midnight.
Dude......not much, or everything depending on what you like: volleyball, basketball, skeet shooting, pool, theater, browsing, nap in your cabin, shore excursions, gamble......people watching seems to be the #1 sport. Take dark glasses.
there will LOTS of other guys layin out by the pool trust with all the food and pool side games they play dont worry you'll be just fine, and just keep thinking about the night time
