I am new to cruising and will be going next weekend on the Fascination to the Bahamas. I have heard people talking about the hassles getting on the ship.
My question is what time can I actually get on the ship? I have read 1:30 in my documents, but have heard others talk about 12:30. We are driving so I can arrive anytime, but the earlier the better, I'm excited to get on.
Any tips, etc as to what time to show up? If I show up when they start embarkation will it be too crowded (I know it depends, but overall)?
Thanks for all your help.
We have boarded a ship as early at Noon (for a 6 PM departure). I like to board early so I get the use of the ship for the afternoon. I will often sit in the sports bar and watch the Sunday football games during departure.
Sometimes the lines are long. Sometimes they aren't. It seems to depend upon how many people arrive early. I imagine that the number is heavily influenced by the airlines' schedules.
A couple times we arrived beore the embarkation time posted on our travel documents. Carnival let us board anyway. This was in San Juan.
For a 4 pm departure, I wouldn't show up any earlier than 11 am. Passengers fromthe prior cruise would still be deboarding.
