OK.. believe it or not, there is something I don't know (or at least have an opinion on)..
I haven't sailed Carnival in over 15 months, and with the new 8 day itins, I'm wondering what Carnival's suggested dress codes are like? How many formal, how many casual... and is there semi formal still?
We just completed a 7 day Princess, where dress was 2 formal nights, and 5 casual. I really kind of liked that set up... with no sports jacket nights?
Any recent Legend or Spirit cruisers remember the dress codes? Thanks!
Re: Suggested dress codes on Carnival Legend 8 day?
Kuki, from a review of one of the first Legend cruises, there are 2 formal nites: 2nd. & 7th night for the Western itinerary and all of the rest are Smart Resort Casual.
Have a great time. I can't wait to sail on her in April.
Bon Voyage
Re: Suggested dress codes on Carnival Legend 8 day?
Kuki, We just got back from the 12 day Spirit Hawaii. It had 2 formal nights (2nd day, and next to last day), with casual the rest. The first nitght on Maui was actually shorts allowed. We spent dinner at the Pioneer Inn with our shorts on (I think...)
Re: Suggested dress codes on Carnival Legend 8 day?
I find a short sleeve shirt with a pocket to hold pencils and a note pad is very dressy. For the pant area, a nice set of bibbs to keep the ever popular butt crack from over expossure to the high overhead sunlight in the carribean. For my shoe choice I perfer a brown rather than a black steel toe work book above the anckle. This is of course if the area is dry. Buckle boots are needed if wet.
You see I'm on call the week of my cruise, so as a dependable plumber, I'm always ready for action.
