I will be going on Carnival's Legend next month. Unfortunately, I booked a bit late and missed out on the lowest singles rate, so had no choice but to book as double (room mate to be assigned). Do they have one or two safe deposit boxes in double room? I am worried about sharing a safe with a stranger, especially since I carry cash.
Does anyone have any ideas to share re: this? On our next cruise there will be 3 and 4 young people in a cabin and I am sure they would like to be able to have a secure place to keep their money, etc., without taking it to the purser's desk. I realize this is most likely what they will have to do, but if there are any other solutions, please share them. There isn't a way to access the safe without a credit card that must be available at all times OUTSIDE of the safe, is there? Thanks for any help.
Location: Wisconsin....about 100 miles south of the Frozen Tundra and 70 miles east of Camp Randall
Re: Sharing a cabin safe
Any card with a magnetic stripe will do (ie: library card, grocery store card, etc.) But there is only one safe per room - either you decide to trust your roommate OR you take your stuff to the Purser's desk and have it stored there.
Carnival Breeze with Ray B and Aerogirl 5/4/14!
Only if they trust each other and willing to share the access. If they do then you can use any card with a magnetic strip on it and just leave it someplace in the cabin mutually agreed upon by all the people in the room.
