I know it's a long way away, but we are going on the Spirit Sept 25 - Vancouver to Honolulu and I would love to hear from anyone who has taken this trip, either to or from Hawaii. Would you do it again? Too many "days at sea"? Would the balcony be the way to go? Lots more questions. Thanks.
I took this cruise from Hawaii to Ensenada this past year. We had a great time but...5 sea days were way too much. Especially because the last 3 days, as we got closer to Mexico, it got cool and you couldn't really sit outside or go in the pools. Hawaii was amazing but we really wished that we would have just flew there and stayed on Maui & Kona. I'm not sure of your age but also keep in mind that besides your handful of honeymooners, this was a much older crowd.
We've done this sailing both ways (though not on Carnival).. Vancouver to Hawaii, and Hawaii to Vancouver. I'd do it again tomorrow if I could!
We had a great time on both... and we loved the sea days.
If a balcony fits in the budget, I'd definitely grab one. Wonderful having breakfast out there on the sea days!
