Carnival Meal Seating

We will be on the Jan. 11 sailing of the Carnival Spirit. We have signed up for late meal seating. Are the main evening shows performed later in the evening for the late diners? I looked at the sample activities pages on the Carnival website and it doesn't look like they are. We usually like the late seating because we don't have to rush to get ready for dinner when we are in port. We are at sea 4 days on this cruise, so maybe early seating would have been better...

We've only cruised on NCL in the past and the breakfasts were open seating/open time. It looks like Carnival has main/late seating for breakfast also except for the "light breakfast" poolside. Is this coffee/rolls/cereal or a full buffet?

There is a full service buffet for breakfast and lunch...also room service (but that is mainly continental breakfast items only.) On most cruise lines shows are held for both early and late seating passengers.

Carnival does hold two shows per evening for both the late and early seating. On the occasional one show items like the passenger talent night the show is scheduled around 10PM so that both seating can view it. For the regular shows most are scheduled for after the evening meal but on occasion some are scheduled just before you eat. Either way, you will have time to watch them.

Usually the late seaters have the shows before the late dinner, and then sometimes there will be some shows after for all but mainly it's show and late dinner.
