Default Celebration out of Galveston

We are leaving Saturday on the Celebration out of Galveston. The info packet says that boarding starts at 1:30. Do they let people on before that time or do you have to wait until 1:30? Also, will they have food at that time or should we eat lunch beforehand? One more question, do we have access to our room &/or checked luggage immediately or is there a waiting period? Thanks!

Hi, We also like to arrive a little early. Lines will be forming early. They have a wonderful Buffet awaiting you on board when you get on. So save your appetite. Enjoy. We were on the Celebration 4 yrs ago and loved her. She was a great ship then and I am sure she is still great. Have a great cruise..... Char

I thought the Celebration was to be in dry dock starting in January. Anybody know anything about that?

I thought the same thing....we sailed on Celebration the end of October. It was our first cruise and we thought it was a little bumper then it should have been. We found out later that part of the boat was bent and it could only be fixed when it was dry docked and that was for either January or February. We enjoyed Celebration and are planning on cruising with the Victory next January.
