TRANSPORTATION FROM ORLANDO TO PORT CANAVERAL

Hi, we're going on the Pride 4/12 and flying into Orlando. If we could get some ideas, what's the best way to get from the airport to the port? Also if we go the night before, what's some good hotels to stay in? Thanks, Lori

Hi Lori, I let you know as soon as we are back.
We fly to Orlando tomorrow, sleep in the Marriott overnight and the next morning we have the Carnival shuttle from the airport to Port Canaveral. Our TA says it takes about an hour to get there.

If you fly in a day early, Hotel at the Radisson on Cocoa Beach is the best bet. You will need transportation (rental car or limo) to this hotel which is the closest to Port Canaveral. It is about an hour from Orlando airport to this port, so a taxi would be cost prohibitive. There is an Avis rental agency at the hotel, so shuttle to the port will be free. If you fly in late the night before and do decide to stay at an airport hotel, just shuttle back to the terminal in the morning to catch the early transfer bus from Carnival. Carnival transfers are $30 pp, if you did not purchase air through the cruise line. They are worth it too.

Well, we are back. We had a shuttle voucher. If you want to take the shuttle, go to ground level on the airport, find the green sign at the parking side B24, then go inside and you find the carnival ladies sitting there at a table with all kinds of papers, very friendly to help you with everything.

Have a great time! The Pride is so beautiful. The food is absolutely good, the staff ever so friendly. Wish I could book again.

We are a party of four and booked Basik Shuttle service for $135.00 R/T not including tip. Seems like a good price and it's just a ride for our party of four, no other passengers. We are staying at The Radisson at Port Canaveral. Roger

Just read your 1/03 e-mail regarding Carnival transfers, $30 pp. Is that for one way or round trip. Thanks.

Round Trip and they work out very well. This is approximately a 45 to 60 minute drive.
