Default Beds

I have a question about the beds on the cruise ships. Are they standardly setup as 2 twin beds? What if you want a king size bed? How do you go about requesting a king size? Thanks so much for your responses!!

what kind of room do you have? We always had 2 twin beds that we moved together.

From what I could tell it was pretty random... Also I only thought King size was in suites. Reg rooms either came w/ Dbl (2 twins together) or 2 twins seperated, All have a twin sofa bed and some havea nother bed that drops from the ceiling.

From our experience, if you would like the two twin beds joined to make a "king" bed, you should submit this request with your travel agent. This information will then be passed on to the cruise line, and thus, your room steward. If you find your bed(s) are not made up as requested, just let your room steward know and they will fix it for you.

We always request a King configuration but receive it 50% of the time. Just ask the room steward to make up the bed as a King with King Size linens. If you ask to just have the beds pushed together, there will still be a gap between the mattresses. I don't know about you, but that can be annoying if you are not used to it. Some cabins on other lines have just twin configurations and the beds can't be rearranged.
Bon Voyage

The beds are just pushed together to make a king bed in most cases. Hope that helps.
