Default Celebration out of Galveston

I have been lurking for a couple of weeks now and have gathered TONS of useful info from this board, but I have a question. I am booked for a May 1st departure. There hasn't been much talk here about the Celebration lately. A search revealed that she may have been dry docked for repairs late last year. Does anyone know if this was accomplished? And if so, was the awful noise gone?

I booked before finding out about this site or I might have not pulled the trigger, but I can still cancel with full refund for a couple more weeks. I would love to have any information about this. Also if anyone knows of a good site with some photos I would love to see that too.

Thanks !!!!!!

Hi, The Celebration was our first Carnival cruise. She is a nice ship. We enjoyed our cruise so much. We are hooked on Carnival because of the Celebration. She is older but a pretty ship and well taken care of. It has been a couple of years now but I am sure you will enjoy the vacation. i did hear about the work done and I do believe it was all taken care of. We went on the Inspiration last year and she is so beautiful too. Keep going and you will see for yourself. Enjoy!!!!!!! Char

I also heard that Celebration is in dry dock now. Won't be out until April 7. Hopefully they will be fixing the problem with the gears and the vibration will be lessened. We are going on April 21 so we'll let you know when we get back. I'm sure we'll have a great time regardless.
