Carnival Conquest Looks To Dock In St. Bernard More Stories
04-03-2003 03:31:AM
(Chalmette, LA) -- Port officials say they are working with Carnival Cruise Line to find a place for a megaliner to dock in Louisiana. The Conquest has been docked in Gulfport because rising water levels made it difficult to navigate the ship under some low-lying power lines. A new plan would have the Conquest docking at a plant in St. Bernard Parish within the next two weeks. New Orleans officials want the ship docked near the city because of the revenue that the cruise liner brings to town.
