Can anyone tell me the cost of the Beach Buggy & Snorkel Combo for Cozumel? If you have taken this tour, would you recommend it for people in their 60's? I noticed on the Carnival website, it states this tour is exclusive to Carnival Cruise Lines, so I am guessing one cannot purchase this tour from an outside company.
I believe, from what I've read in these posts, that formal nights are Monday and Friday. The first full day at sea and the second to last day at sea, (not Saturday because you have to put your luggage out Saturday night). Don't know about the excursion.
We're sailing on the Conquest this Sunday (7/11)....when does your cruise leave?
How formal are the dinners like prom dress formal and tux and I have 3 kids do they go to the dinner...II have a 13 year old daughter and she thinks it would be neat to dress up will they let her go to the formal ?Thanks for any response.... We sail Oct. 11 our first
Thanks for the correction on which nights are formal. I thought I'd read Monday and Friday, but Thursday does make more sense since we return to the ship earlier Thursday.
And, KN, I think they're probably as formal as you want them to be. Anything from Sunday clothes to evening gowns is what I've heard. On our first cruise I wore a black cocktail dress on the one formal night, and it was fine, but his time I'm going all out and have a full length evening dress for one of the nights and a very dressy (sparkly) pant suit for another. On e the non-formal nights, I'll wear either slacks or a sundress.
We just returned..7/4 sailing. Unfortunately, I don't remember how much that excursion was...but no excursion is less that $55 The formal nights were Monday and Thursday. TIP: Leave at least an hour early to give you time for pictures. You can take as many as you want at as many backdrops as you like. There are backdrops set up on level 5 by the casino and the formal lobby on level 3. If you only take 1, you run the risk at them not being as good as you like, so its nice to be able to choose the best picture out of several. My wife wore evening gowns, and I brought a black suit, white shirt, and a couple of ties. Another TIP: Don't be in a hurry to get to the dining room. If you have the 8:00 sitting, then head to the dining room at 8:00, getting there at about 5-10 after. Many people get there early, but the doors won't open until the designated time, and you will be cramped.
I think that excursion is $90. I have not done it, but we were thinking about it and that's why we did not do it.
Everyone on the ship is allowed to go to formal nights, even little babies, who are very cute all dressed up.
And that is right, formal night on the Conquest (and probably every other ship) is as formal as you want it to be. It's totally up to you if you want to go all out and where a tux. Beleive me you will see many different ideas of "formal".
On the first formal night I wore a a black cocktail dress and on the second formal night I wore a sundress, looked good and did not feel out of place at all. People go from one extreme to other.
