Default Info about cave tubing - Elation

Hey! Has anyone done the cave tubing in Belize with Xtream tubing? I am sailing on the Elation on July 18 and have read about the nightmares of the tender situation. I was wondering what time to schedule the excursion and get there on time and make it back to the ship before it leaves!! I am VERY nervous about not doing a Carnival excursion but the boards have been so positive... Also, does anyone know the prices of both?

Celia

I did the cave tubing with X-Stream in April 2004. They were very professional. Picked us up at the pier and had us back before the cruise ship's tour returned. X-Stream charged $60. If you wanted the chicken barbeque lunch it was an extra $5. Although I'm not sure I beleive the ship's tour charged about $90 and it included lunch. Hope this helps.

In hindsight, would you recommend doing it through X-Stream or, given the tender situation, ponying up the extra 50 and doing it through the ship? Will the experience be the same?

Thanks

I would go through X-Stream again. I found them to be very professional and liked the fact that it was a smaller group. The ship's tour had about 200 people to our 14 (5 of them my family). We also did an extra cave that the ship's tour didn't do.
