This is a cruise related question We are going on the Conquest which leaves out of New Orleans... We are staying over an extra night in New Orleans, and aren't sure of a good place to stay... we want to be within walking distance of Bourbon Street, but in a cleaner nicer area (we have heard some nasty things about parts of Bourbon!) at a decent price (Maybe around $100 a night?)... If you know of any, we'd be very grateful! Thanks!
We have stayed at Doubletree last year and will be staying at Hilton-Riverside next Saturday night, May 10. Doubletree was nice and expect Hilton to be the same.
We stayed at the Crowne Astor and got a good price through the internet. When calling the hotel direct, it cost more. I believe we paid $95 during Mardi Gras.
We got an $89 room rate for the Doubletree (Harrahs) so we are probably going to do that... heard decent things about it (although if anyone feels otherwise-- let me know, please!)
You can't go wrong at Hilton Riverside. Doubletree isn't bad, either. Last year we stayed at the Wyndham Riverfront. Great rate, good location, and you can long term part in the Hilton parking lot if you happen to be driving in.
Go to NOLA.COM as they offer the absolute best rates at reputable New Orleans Hotels...we reccomend Hotel Provincial...in the French Quarter...beautiful, historical, tropical court yard pools, and very reasonable rates! Have fun and don't miss beignets at Cafe Dumonde....
