Default Imagination to COZUMEL via the Smilin' Islands

I am reading the threads and see this is a kickin' board!

Sailing w/ my girlfriend on Mem Day 5/22 out of Miami. Second cruise for us. Anyone going along?

Contributing tip - Lived in Key West for 12 years so I'll know where to go. Hey, act like a local and get off the beaten path! Hang out at the Green Parrot <www.greenparrot.com> and eat the best Spanish-American food at B's (Bertha and Simonton) or El Siboney on Catherine Street. Please pronounce the chowder - KONK - not KONCH!

Requested tip - In advance of the cruise and to forgo the unpleasant $40 parking, I will book overnight at the Hyatt Regency Miami via Priceline @ $27 as so many recommend it. As a Floridian, does anyone know if I can leave my car there during the cruise (4 days)? Also, is there any raw fish (sushi bar) on board? I sure hope so!

If anyone can share any good info on these questions, I'd appreciate it have a great crusing day!

Chris

You CAN leave your car there but they will charge you twenty bucks a day. You can part at the port for half that.

Thanks for the Key West tips. Do you by chance know where the best place to have a piece of Key Lime Pie is? I have what I THINK is the best posted on my website but would love the opinion of somebody that might know for sure.

Take a look if you want and let me know if I am way off on anything ok?

Mac,

Just sailed on the Imagination 3-8 May and had the time of my life. You're right, she's an awesome ship just as her CD Jorge is. If you see him, tell him he looks like the letter "Q". He'll get a kick out of it.

P.s. never did see the sushi bar but you know those strong drinks they pedal upon boarding made me blind. ;-)

Sorry Life, the best key lime pie is from Blond Giraffe on Duval St. It turned non key lime pie folks into lovers of it! Next time give them a try. It's the crust that makes this yummy.

Ok I am going to make note of that! No better advice than that of someone who's been there, that's for sure

Thanks

Hey thanks for the good information! When it comes to the green pie, it's gotta be Nellie and Joe's key lime juice (the starter for the lime pie).
