Default Skipper's Club2

Hi
Can anyone tell me if they (carnival) will allow you to board early if you have booked a cat. 11 private balcony suite and also have booked the adjoining private balcony stateroom (cat. 8c I think)...Only asking because I know my husband is not going to wait in line with my daughter's friend while my daughter and I board early . Even thought the girls are going to be staying in the adjoining stateroom we had to "book" the two rooms with one adult in each room.

Thanks for any advice

We were in a cat. 11 and did not board any earlier than anyone else - although we did board at 11:20. We didnt have to wait in line to check-in though. What I would probably do is go to Skippers Club first to check in for the cat. 11 and ask them if they can check you in for the other. They probably cant since they wouldnt have the info and the sign and sail cards in their little box. But you never know.

No, everyone basically boards after the ship is ready to accept passengers the same time. The only advantage you will have is the Skippers Club which is expedited check-in. You friend in the cat 8a is not entitled to that and will not be checked in through them but must go through the regular line. You can wait in the waiting room just before boarding the ship and after the check-in if you wish.

The answer I think is it depends on where you're sailing from. Skipper's Club in Miami has a seperate lounge for check in, and they escort you onto the ship as soon as boarding is allowed (if you are there that early).
There they have allowed us to check in other members of our family who were not in Cat11 or 12 cabins, and they've boarded with us.

In other ports of debarkation, where they have no lounge..... like Ft Lauderdale, Skipper's Club didnt seem to mean much.

We just used the Skipper's club last Monday in Tampa... it was a table set aside from the rest of the check in. We used it and went into the waiting area with everyone else... had #1 and would have set there, except I noticed someone I had seen checking in much closer to where we would board the ship...

I had to get up a go ask (just curious) and found out that the Skippers club sat inside the last checkpoint and had there boarding pics already taken. We went up and were allowed to do this. We board right at noon as soon as the ship was cleared, and actually were the first people on board! The other people were coming onboard in about 20 min. or so.

When it came time to send our luggage (boo) off the ship I asked what the tags were for the skippers club... was told what to change them to and --- your not going to believe this - we were one of the first off and our luggage was sitting by itself (all 12 pieces)!!

We walked right up to it - got a porter - and were on our way to the airport within two minutes!!! that was really great!

Morale of the story - keep asking and you never know whats going to happern!

Bob

I have been on two cruises with carnival cat 11 skippers club. I was the second person on the ship. We had nice comfortable seats to wait in. If all passengers are ready to be boarded. It was a good 45 minutes before the other passengers were boarded onto the ship. Carnival helps you fill out all papers and escorts you to the designated area. It is definitely better in the skippers club. But I would never specifically pay for it. I was upgraded to cat 11
