We are sailing on the Carnival Victory on July 21st. This is our first cruise. Can anyone tell me what this ship is like? Are the shows nice? Anything I should know about this ship, as far as do's and don'ts?
Which itinerary are you doing? East or West Caribbean? Are you cruising with kids. We were on it in April and did Western with our 4 & 7 yr olds. Had a great time. Somewhere on the message boards is my recap. If I happen to find it, I'll send it to you. Let me know if there is anything you want to know.
The Victory is a nice ship. The majority of lounges and shops are on the fifth floor. The pools, buffets and grills are on the ninth floor. We found the shows to be very good. We also found the seats in the showroom just under the balcony are on a rise and allow for great viewing of the shows without pillars or peoples heads in your way.
Some of the entrances to the dining rooms can be a little hard to get to. The internet cafe is in a odd place to get to also.
The scenic elevators in the atrium are faster than the main elevators.
The crew does a very good job on the Victory and they will treat you right.
