leaving from gulfport

I am not very good at this board so if this is on here a few times pick one to respond to I will check them all.

Has anyone left from gulfport yet and if so do you just go to the grand casino and somebody gets your luggage there or do I have to find the pier and drop luggage and then go to the grand? We were the ones who told our TA about the change to gulfport she was on a cruise and did not get the info until we told her.

We got an email from Carnival that says to go to the pier and drop off your luggage, then drive to the Grand Casino to park. They say transportation to the pier will be provided starting at 1 PM. Getting to the pier should be no problem; from I-10, you take Highway 49 south until you see signs for the pier. The Conquest should be at the EAST pier. If you check WWW.mapquest.com, the address for the Grand Casino is 3215 W. Beach Blvd, Gulfport, MS 39501; ther pier has no address, but is about a mile away.
What are the ages in your group? We are a family of four, with a 14 yr old son and 8 yr old daughter

The wife and I went down a couple weeks ago and looked things over just in case we have to go out of Gulfport in August. They say we're not, but who knows?

Once your on 49 south, you will dead end to I-90. Turn right, you can't miss the ship, I promise.I went down to Copa Casino ,(red light) make a you turn and go back to the turn end to go to the pier.It was alot easier to me going to the red light. Traffic on 90 can be bumper to bumper at times.The security guards will direct you where to go and what to do. They where real nice to me and very helpful.

Conquest

we have ages 14 girl and boy niece and nephew, then it is 19 - 28, then 40 - 55.
It is a family cruise thing and I think my sister in laws sister is coming also and her little ones are 4 and 7 or 8. The two little ones will go to camp carnival, the 7 or 8 year old is a girl. We are from Baton Rouge most of us. Where are ya'll from? I think the kids will meet a bunch of new friends as from what I have read it seems like lots of "young adutls" will be on this cruise also.
