Which luggage is actually opened....your carry-ons..or the checked luggage?

Getting onto the ship none of your luggage will be opened. Your carryon will be xrayed
as they do at the airport, your check in may be xrayed but I doubt it. It may be gone over by a bomb sniffing dog . More than likely just be piled up and put on the ship.
Airport different story. Carry ons and check ins are all subject to xray and can be opened.
