We will be sailing on Oct. 19 aboard the Inspiration and going to Cozumel for one of our stops. Does anyone happen to know anything about the Puerta Maya Cruise Port? I believe this is where Carnival Inspiration is docking at. Can we walk into town from there or do we need to take a taxi to get to the shops, Carlos and Charlies, etc?
Puerta Maya is about 2 or 3 miles South of downtown Cozumel. I believe the real name of the town is San Miguel. I recommend a taxi, unless you like a scenic hike along the harbor road. Either one is a good choice.
