Default sign & sail question on Conquest

Just curious, Are there separate lines in Gulfport for people just using cash on their sign & sail versus those using credit cards?

Also, does anyone know if you can put up a certain amount of cash and also a certain amount on your credit card?

I do not believe that there is a seperate line any where. When checking in you are asked for a credit card, if you do not provide one no credit is extended to your account. If you want to put up cash you will have to wait until you are onboard and then go to the pursers desk to put up the cash. If you put up cash it is a minimum of $200 for a 7 day cruise. If you provide your credit card to back up your account, you can pay it off, or any part of it, at any time durning the cruise, at the pursers desk.

Jed is exactly right, I did the cash thing, and was very glad I did, kept me from spending too much on that curise.

I'm feeling the same way, we will probably do better with cash only. I thought about putting up the cc, but with cash i think we can budget for the whole week better.

Any thoughts on this?

My husband and I put up a credit card, but we had some friends that did the cash thing. They spent every morning of the cruise at the pursers desk putting more money on there account, then the last day back over there trying to clear it up. I don't think cash helped them budget at all.... Better luck to you guys

Well I do have to admit, that I did add cash to the acct 2 more times during the cruise (those onboard pics do add up), but if I had used the cc, I would have spent lots more.
