Default X-ray machines and film

We purchased underwater cameras (one time use) for the kids. I noticed that they have 800 speed film. Will they be harmed by the X-ray machines? What does anyone suggest that we do about this? I think most one-time use cameras have 800 speed film. We could get the pictures developed on the ship--has anyone had any experience with the quality of developing onboard?

Thanks!!

Clem,
Just pack your cameras/film in your carry one, those x-rays won't harm them, but the x-rays your checked luggage goes through will. You can even have the attendant hand check them if you want, but we've had ours go through with the rest of our carry-on's with no problem.
