Default Playa San Francisco or Playa sol?

Which is better and why? We are a family of five three kids 11,14,17. 11 and 14 are boys and very active. We love the beach. I am not interested in the drinking aspect as neither my husband nor I are big drinkers. Looking to spend the day with plenty of toys for the kids, shade for the hubby(hates the sun) and a great beach. Thanks .

ps. Do either of these beach areas have a pool?

Playa Sol and Mr. Sanchos both have plenty of shade areas. Sol has a pool and there is an entrance fee. Mr Sanchos is free and not much of a pool (very small). Both have restrooms/shower facilities, lounge chairs and bar. Our family has been to both (just came back last week on the Triumph) and if the pool is not critical, Mr Sanchos is a good choice. BTW, Mr Sanchos is the original Playa Sol, and the three, including San Francisco (which I have not visited), are right next to one another (same beach).

Hope this helps

Just came back from cruise on the Sensation and we went to Playa Del Sol beach.
The beach is nice three prices on entry if you only want to use the beach stuff the price is 8 dollars per person and that entitles you to use the shower changing rooms, the beach chairs, the ocean trampolines, paddle boats, and kayacks. If you want to eat the buffet and drink (draft beer and mixed drinks) it is about 30 dollars for each person. Less for kids. You can also get a massage on the beach (don't know the price) and you can rent jet ski's for about 30 dollars a half hour. Place was clean and safe we spent about 6 hours and had a ball. Cab from ship was 12 dollars and they want a tip!
Everyone in both Mexico and Caymans wants a tip for anything including breathing air if they are standing next to a tourist. Hope this helps.
