Just curious if buying the 4 drink coupons for $19.50 would be much of a deal. I hear drinks can cost up to 8 bucks a piece up at the pool deck, Has anyone used these coupons, and are they good for any drink anywhere on board?? I appreciate your time!! Thanks..
First cruise will be on the Glory in August- CAN'T WAIT!! I'm now hooked on these cruise websites and driving my husband crazy with them!
Never bought drink coupons ( I presume for alcoholic beverages?) but I think individual drinks can be around $6. We did purchase a "soft-drink card" for about $15 for my teenage son, and he certainly got my money's worth with free drinks all week long!
Have a great time on the Glory - we'll be on the Legend in Aug. I'll wave to ya!
.............Bought my sister the drink coupons to use on our Pride cruise in May........She was thrilled with them, and felt that they were worth it...besides, if you buy them on the cruise lines website prior to the cruise its just a little less money on your sail and sign..I did the photo coupons as well......by the way I do believe they are good on any drink....have a great cruise....................
I just purchased $390.00 worth of them for our 8/30 cruise so I hope they work pretty well. My research tells me that you can get pretty much any mixed drink like frozen drinks and rum/cokes vodka/orange ect. The test will be when I ask for top shelf stuff like jack/coke or Grey Goose/Orange. Have fun-still watching that countdown clock!!!

Thank you all for your thoughts!! I'm heading out on Aug. 2nd as I said and I think I'll get a few prebought coupons for the hubby.... I'm sure it will save us a little money, and even if it doesn't, it will seem like less when it isn't all charged on my s&s card..
I'll let you know how they work out..
If they are worth $4.95 per coupon and you brought a drink that cost $3.95, I do not think
you would get a dollar back or a credit. So it seems to me that you have to buy a drink
that costs $4.95.The bar tenders that are serving you, because you are paying for the drink with a coupon and since they are not going to make any money they might give you any drink you want. If I was a bar tender I would not care what type drink you
The tip is supposed to be included on the drink coupons.
The only way you make out ahead (save money) with the drink coupons is to buy froo froo frozen drinks (pina coladas, ect) with them. You will save something like $.25/drink using the drink coupons over buying they straight up at the bar, the savings comes out of the bar tender's tip on that.
We got 2 sets (8 coupons total) of drink coupons on our last sailing because of a problem we had on our previous sailing. That was the most we had ever drank on a cruise.
They will not get you top shelf drinks with the coupons and you don't get a partial credit if you buy a cheaper drink (like a beer or an n/a drink). So unless you are trying to spread out your costs or are planning on enjoying the very good frozen drinks you are better off just buying the drinks.
