Default Teen Guys Dress for INFORMAL Dinners

do teen guys have to wear docker type pants or can they wear long shorts? Also can they get away with wearing nice T's such as Abercrombie??? Been awhile since we cruised and the guys want to fit in.

Dockers are definitely the way to go. Long shorts are against the dress code but im sure that there will still be a few who wear them. But docker type pants and nice polo shirts or button down shirts are a great choice.

The rule is plain and simple. No shorts or t-shirts in the dining room for dinner. This is a mandatory rule not a suggestion. It applies to everyone. It gives no exception for teens, young children, old men, beautiful women, short shorts, long shorts, silk shorts nor any other type of shorts or t-shirts. If you still want to wear shorts eat on the lido deck.

My husband and I cruised the Triumph in March. Very much to my surprise I saw a couple of people in the Dining Room in shorts, even one with a tank top on. I just assume the Matre' D didnt want to ask them to leave.

My boys (16 and 10) wore dark dress pants, white oxford button down shirts with ties, and dress shoes for formal night on the Holiday. They wore Docker type pants and polo shirts with dress shoes on other nights in the dining room. They fit in nicely. HTH

One of the nights, my husband and I dined alone while the kids dined on the Lido deck. They came down to the dining room before we were finished, and were in shorts and t-shirts. There were some stares from a few people at nearby tables, but no one said anything. I do feel, however, the atmosphere of the dining room is enhanced with nice dress. IMHO

Informal dinners in the dining room, usually guys wear long pants and shirts, not many where t-shirts tho. If you wear long shorts and a collered shirt it would be okay too.

Actually NO, shorts are not aloud in the dining room at anytime... Dress pants and polo shirts are the way to go, people who show up in shorts and t's look dumb, and don't fit in too well.
