When I booked this trip through Carnival, they asked me if I wanted to Prepay gratuities and I said yes. So on my confirmation it says that it's prepaid with my cruise fee. I wondering if they will try to reput that on my Sail and Sign card because I sure don't feel like standing in line at the pursuers desk the morning we have to disembark arguing about it. This is the first time I will have to deal with this since I booked with agents before and they never asked so it was just put on my sail and sign at the pier. Anyone know anymore info on this will be greatly appreciated.
They shouldn't also put them on the S&S card. But you will get a S&S statement slid under your cabin door about 1/2 way thru the cruise. If you see the tips on that statement you can talk to the pursers desk at a less hectic time. Or if your ship has FunVision you will be able to check your S&S balance on your TV and visit the purser at a less busy time.
When tips are put on the S&S card they will be the first item to appear on your account. If you are on a ship with fun vision you can check your account on the tv at any time. If they should mistakenly put tip on card you can check either on the room tv or with the purser when ever the purser desk is not busy and hve the matter corrected, however it should not be a problem.
I have never had a travel agent ask me to do so, but carnival did when I booked with them. I found that to be good since I want have to worry about that extra charge on my sail and sign because those things run up quick enough.
We always have our tips and taxes and port charges all included in the cruise cost. then that much is all done. Also we take the shuttle from the carnival cruise line to the piers. So tha tis in there too. Our TA always makes sure we have that all incuded for us. Wouldnt have it any ohter way. easy..... Char
