I thought that Fat Tuesdays was in Cozumel, but it's in Cancun...and our cruise doesn't port in Cancun. Anyone know of a place similar to Fat Tuesdays that's in Cozumel? Any other fun activities to suggest?
There is a Fat Tuesdays in Coz. We were there. It's off the main road but you can see it, however it's not like the FT in Cancun as it is just a bar. Now Coz has 3 piers and at one pier that was a few miles from "downtown" there was a FT there. My daughter and new friends had partied there watching all the others coming in.
Carlos n Charlies is basically geared towards drinking and partying. The place is a blast! We went there AFTER a Fiesta Party Boat ride... which I also highly suggest.... so it's a little blurry..... All I remember is a waitress pouring a shot down my throat, blowing a whistle and shaking my head til I wanted to vomit.... when you put it that way, it doesn't really sound like fun does it??? but it is!!!!!!!!!!!!! :-)
WE went this past spring on the Holiday. WE visited Carlos n Charlies that night. It was the wildest night. I'm glad I had people responsible enough to get me back to the ship. They do a conga line and at different stops they make you do shots. I lost count on how many I did.
Have a great time and put someone who is going to remain at least partially sober in charge of getting you back to the ship on time. More then one person has been left in Cozumel by the ship after a hard night of partying.
Yeah, that was just a bit harsh. No need to insult those who dug Carlos and Charlies just because it's not the kind of thing for you. Let's be respectful here. I don't mind hearing everyone's opinions because that's what I wanted..but insults are not cool.
COzumel was soooo much fun. We rented a jeep and explored the island. It is beautiful. we stoped at a beach club and ordered margartias and nachos and sat under a palm tree and looked at the water. then we went driving and found a couple of mexican places that were serving coronas for two for one! And they were like 1.50 american $! It is a beautiful place with alot of mexican culture! If you want an unexplored island why would you take a cruise?
chimchim, hello fellow libertarian...anyway...we went on Holiday in the spring and unfortunately wound up at C & C..my better half wanted to try authentic, original Mexican, some little hole in the wall, but I was too afraid about getting sick so I figured C & C would be a good choice b/c they do such a large volume of business from Americans. I didn't enjoy my food and thought the shot girls were a bit pushy. If I ever go back to Mexico, I will try that little hole in the wall place.
