Can someone tell me if you have to purchase a calling card to call back to the US from the port your in (Montego Bay, Grand Caymen or Cozumel) or is there a calling card that I could take with me that I could use to call home no matter where I am? I'm going on the Conquest 9/7/03.
You'll find payphones which accept calling cards at all these ports. But, they generally accept the major ones only such as AT+T, SBC, etc. The ones you purchase at your local K Mart won't work. And, to call off the ship was about $10.00 per minute.
One of the best travel tips I ever got was from Arthur Frommer's Budget Travel Magazine- An excellent Bi-monthly mag. available from online mag. subscription agents for about $15.00 I think or at CVS pharmacy and Barnes and Noble ....
Anyway... Go to www.pincity.com where you can set up an account for as little as 5.00
you can get a calling account to call home for the LOWEST RATES I have ever seen anywhere. Like from many places as low as 2.9c. This saved me a TON. Especially in hotels where those calls can add a serious chunk! You just dial in your # and it bills off your account, totally easy, totally cheap. Works worldwide. Feel free to E-me if you have questions
And I'm not even a stock holder!!!
Smiles, and have good trips!
