Default Spirit Balcony Doors

Does anyone know if the balconies on the Spirit are sliding or open outward? Im in room 7157 Cat. 8G. Thanks

They open like a door. In addition whenever the door opens the air conditioning automatically turns off.

I knew about the ac... just thought I had read somewhere that some doors on the ships slide. Spirit 12-17-03!

If you bring a round magnet such as the type that are glued to the back of those refrigerator decorations and some duct tape or similar, you can tape the magnet to the micro switch that is in the door frame, and the a/c stays on. Bring a large wooden wedge or a strong bungee cord and you can sleep with the door open and the air on.

Doors open outwards (Toward the sea) With the wind, closing the door can sometimes be an adventure. Why is it so important for you to know howth balcony doors operate? just curious.

Ken just being curious............ not like it's going to matter to me. You can always learn so many new little "tips" like the magnet that sometimes the simplest of questions can be very enlightening! Definately going to do the magnet thing!

Harry let me know how the magnet works out for you cause I will be on the Spirit in Dec. HAPPY SAILINGS TO ALL WHO ARE HEADED TO PORTS!
