Default calling cards???

Do they sell calling cards anywhere that can be used in the Bahamas or Jamaica instead of using the ships $8 per minute fee??? Or would it just be cheaper to call from land and call collect?

Calling cards issued by the major telecom companies such as AT+T, SBC, etc are accepted in port. The generic cards are not.

I bought an MCI prepaid calling card at Rite Aid. For international calling, you need to call the customer service 800 # on the back of the card BEFORE YOU LEAVE. You tell them what countries you will be calling from, and they can give you the access phone #s, and the country code. As far as price, the card says "int'l rates vary & subject to change". There are also additional units charged for calling from a pay phone. I found out by calling customer service that there is no access from Barbados, and Aruba is limited to the airport, and the cruise terminal. I don't know if that is MCI's limitations, or the countries themselves.
