Default Departure

Going on the Fantasy in Jan. We booked the flights ourselves and have a 12:15 pm departure from Orlando. The Ship Docks at 7:00. Are we cutting it too short, or will we get to the airport in good time?

Oooh, that is cutting it close. Orlando is not close to Canaveral. I'm sorry, but that is a bit too risky given the fact there are frequently wrecks on the brige at the intercoastal and that the Sovereign of the Seas let's it's passengers off at the same time.

I would change it to a later flight.

Regards,
Thomas

We sailed the Glory 8/30 out of Port Canaveral, got off the ship at 9:30 am and made it to Orlando airport by 11 am using Carnival transfers and we were not the first ones off. They let the "self assist" (taking all your luggage off yourself) and early flights off begining at 8:30 am. Have a wonderful cruise.

I think you are cutting it way too close and would advise you to catch a later flight.

You have a really, really tight time frame there. If everything goes perfect for you (debarkation starts on time, there are no accidents, no line at customs, no horrendous security line at the airport, ect) you may make the flight. But I have been on cruises that didn't start debarkation until almost 10am because of customs and billing issues with passengers. The Orlando airport is also known for long lines at the security screening area.

If you can change your flight to a later one so you will not be stressed about making it to the airport with a whole lot of factors out of your control.

Just got off of the Carnival Triumph on the 30th of Aug. and because immigrations was waiting for a couple to report to them, we did not get off of the ship until around 12 o'clock. I was lucky in that i drove from virginia and my car was parked at the port. man you are cutting it way too close.
