Someone had a note on one of the post that they were sure that the Conquest left New Orleans around 4 or 5 instead of the usual 6PM in October-November -December months.............anyone know this to be true?
I realize it gets dark earlier then, but why?
Someone said the river with all it's bends and curves is hard to navagate.
We sail on Nov 16th. hoepfully at 6PM
We are leaving at the same time, same date! and hopefully it will leave when all is scheduled... but I don't think it's going to be a problem for us, because we plan to be there wayyyyy before the sailing time....
I sailed on her in Dec. of last year and we did depart at 6:00PM. It was dark shortly after leaving port, was kind of neat as many people along the river bank were flashing flashlights, car lights and honking car horns a few people in houses were also turning their house lights on and off. They may only have been doing so because the Conquest was so new (this was the second 7 day sailing).
WE CONTACTED CARNIVAL CRUISE LINES FOR THIS INFORMATION AND WE WERE TOLD THAT A 17X22 CARRY ON WOULD GO THROUGH THE SCANNER FINE. ALSO A NOTE IF YOU HAVE ANY KIND OF MEDICAL EQUIPMENT OR MEDICATION THAT REQUIRES SPECIAL HANDLING YOU HAVE TO FILL OUT A FORM AND MAKE SURE THAT CARNIVAL RECEIVES THIS BEFORE YOUR CRUISE DATE.
