I was on one of the Celebration cruises with the propulsion problem. Carnival offered us 50% off our next cruise . Has anyone had any experience with this? Do we have to go through Carnival to book the cruise? Can I use a travel agent of my choice? Any tidbits would be helpful!
As far as I know you should be able to use a travel agent, give one a call and see what they say, or even call Carnival. Be sure to mention to the travel agent exactly how you have a 50% coupon and they should be able to help. Do you have this next cruise picked out?
Read the coupon and see what it says and what restrictions are on it. If it is 50% off the brochure rate toss it in the trash as you could do better without it, if it is 50% off the best price you can find, wonderful. The rules should be on the reverse. A Ta could probably answer this better once you start the process but before you pay anything.

I was on the Sept.4th cruise. I have booked another cruise for Feb. You can use a agent. I did. You have to use your Sept. cruise booking number also ask for ext. 70026 when you call Carnival. Hope this helps.
Thanks for the replies! I don't have a coupon since this was promised in the phone call to tell us our cruise was going to only one port. I've e-mailed Carnival so I will have something in writing. It's been 10 days since they acknowleged my e-mail.
Mindy1, was there a limit as to the category you could chose? I'd dearly love a balcony suite but since we sailed 6D, I'm sure the 50% applies to that category or lower.
