Leaving for the Pride on Dec 7th. This will be my 8th cruise, and my 4th on Carnival. I haven't been on Carnival since 1997, so I'm interested to see if there is any cahnges in the quality of food. As I recall from previous cruises, the food on Carnival was always plentiful, and somehere between average to good in the quality department.
If anyone has cruised recently, I was wondering if the quality ahs improved for food that is served on the lido deck (buffet). I remember it as being on par with the kind of buffet food you find in the Las Vegas hotels (where I live), meaning high in quanity and only so-so on quality. I am not a food-snob, but at the same time, I don't care for fast-food or cheap all-youcan-eat restaurants either. I like some sophistication in my dining choices (something a little better than hamburgers, hot dogs and pizza.)
We have been on two cruises in last year. I thought the food was pretty good. They do have pizza, hamburgers and hot dogs out by the pool. They usually had some kind of meat, rice, pasta, etc on regular buffet. I am not a big fan of their buffets. Always a wierd combo of food on the buffets, on all the cruise lines. Dinner was very good, they had filet, lobster on one night. Hope that helps. Good desserts!
