Montego-bay-jamaica. Rose Hall Beach club

has anyone been to the Rose Hall Beach Club in Montego Bay-? is it a public beach or do we need to be with a tour to get onsite???

a complimentary drink named after the infamous witch who once ruled the Great House. Legend has it that the "White Witch," Annie Palmer, murdered her four husbands in addition to numerous slaves who worked the plantation. It is said that Annie herself was murdered by one of her lovers, a cunning slave who decided to exact revenge on her. After this very informative tour, you will drive through Ironshore Estate, a prime residential area, then on to downtown Montego Bay, where you will have a chance to shop at one of
the craft markets and the City Center's duty-free shopping plaza before returning to the ship.

We just did this beach stop as part of an All Day private package with
A-ZJamaicaPlanners. It was the Rose Hall Mansion and beach tour @ $42pp which also included the $6 admission to the beach and $15 admit to the plantation home of the White Witch. We were allowed to stay at the beach for as long as we wanted and then were off to shopping where the guide waited for us. We could have stopped at Margaritaville, but we declined. Problem with going on your own is the aggressive taxi drivers. It is far from the port and traffic is absolutely awful in the port area. It took at least a half hour to get out of the traffic jam. There is lots of road construction. Contact Belinda and see if she is willing to do something privately for you.
The beach is nice with music playing in the background, bar service as well as food available. I would never pay $33 per person just for this stop as the ship's tour does.
Doctor's Cave beach is supposed to be nice, but also a taxi ride away from the port.
