Just call me Norm (as in Peterson) I do enjoy my beer and my parents wanted
to get me something for Christmas. As I am not looking forward to an $80.00 a
day bar tab I heard of drink coupons. What are they? how are they used? and
how would they obtain them????
Go to Carnival.com and click on the gifts and services
You can buy coupons good for a drink on the ship. If you just drink beer, and not frozen drinks, it is cheaper to buy the drinks on board then buying the coupons. Some people buy them to spread out their costs over a few months or as a gift. The coupon is good for a drink up to $4.95 (frozen drink), beers are less but you don't get any change for the coupon it is good for one drink. You might want to mention the funship dollars, basically gift certificates for Carnival in the form of a shipboard credit. Then you can use them for whatever you want.
The shipboard dollars would definetly be a better choice for you. The coupons are fantastic for frozen drinks, but beer is considerable less money and it would be a waste to spend the coupons that way. Who wants to pay $5 for a beer?
Thank you for the reply. I have told my parents about the shipboard dollars and think
it is a great idea. Done shopping for me and I'm getting what I want. My uncle
then told me the sell buckets of beer. 5 for $10.00. Any trueth to this? and/or
are they the 8oz bottles they have some places in Mexico?
They do sell buckets of beer for $10 - I think it is 5 beers because my friends and I joked that they could a least give you a six-pack. The beer are regular size as far as I remember - or actually, I don't remember anyone complaining on our trip that they WEREN'T regular size.
