We are going to book for next November on the Pride and are looking at Thanksgiving week. The whole family is going and this seems to be a time when everyone can get off work or out of school without too much trouble. I have a few questions for anyone who sailed during this time. Did the ship seem full, lots of kids? Did they do anything special for the holiday? Any info would be appreciated.

We just got back from a 3-day Thanksgiving cruise on the Carnivale Fantasy. There were a lot of kids of all ages on the ship. As far as the Thanksgiving food goes, I'm sure you would do much better to fix a nice meal at home when you get back. They did have a selection of Turkey/stuffing/mashed potatoes. I didn't have it myself but it didn't look like much when I saw it served elsewhere. They also offered steak and fish among other things. We were a bit disappointed with the food on the Fantasy but it could just be that cruise ship and the 3 day cruise. One thing to remember is that if you want more food just ask for it. When they had lobster on the menu both of my teenage boys had two and my husband asked if he could also have the prime rib with the lobster. They smiled and said no problem. The ship was sold out and you could tell there were a lot of family reunions going on. Lots of grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins all seated together. I'm sure you'll have a great time. Any other questions, just email me. I'd be happy to help.
Was on the Pride Thanksgiving week. It was fabulous. Read my review for more info.
There was 800 kids on board. Thats almost half. It didnt bother us a bit. The ship is very big. Weather was wonderful. If you can swing it get a balcony. It was soooo worth it.
Anyway, have a great time! Angel
PS Not much special for Thanksgiving, they did give you a menu to take home that night, served Turkey as one of they entrees and pumpkin pie. That was all that was realted to the holiday. Also, the ship was decorated Christmas. Was nice
