Hi,
I've read on another discussion board that Paradise Beach in Cozumel is gaining popularity over Playa Sol. The admission to the beach is free, and you can make use of their water activities for free as well. you only have to pay for drinks/food. Can anyone tell me the average price for drinks on this beach? Is it worthwhile to go wtih the "all you can drink" package at Playa Sol, or just to buy the drinks at Paradise Beach?
Any feedback would be great!
Thanks,
JT
We took the excursion to Paradise Island and were a bit disappointed. It was almost $100 person and we expected to be there the better part of the day. First there is about a 30-35 minute bus ride there & back, then a 15 minute boat ride to the Island. The weather wasn't the best that day so it may have jaded our opinion. The place you go to is very rustic...no real washrooms..or change rooms. The food wasn't the greatest and you don't get much time on the beach. The only thing to do was volleyball. The beer was good...drink lots to get your $ worth...the rum punch was crappy. Like everywhere else...they all want a tip from the bus guy..boat guys and even the kitchen guy!

I think we're talking about two different places. Paradise Beach at Cozumel isn't an island, and it's a short distance from where the ships let you off. They do have washrooms and change rooms.
I wouldn't miss Chanakaab - maybe it's $10 to get in but a great, great place! Search on Beachs in Cozumel and you'll get a lot of information on all of them.
I think the beach coach is referring to is Passion Island since there is no 35-minute bus ride to Paradise Beach, Playa Sol, San Francisco Beach, or Mr. Sanchos.
