Victory feedback appreciated..

My husband and I just booked our cruise on 5/9 on the Victory, and I'm looking to hear from some past cruisers on this ship, or anyone else that might be joining us on this date. We're really looking forward to this vacation. My 3rd cruise and hubby's FIRST!! My husband has never taken a real 'vacaton'...he's always gone to see friends and family with any time off.

The Victory is a wonderful ship. My husband and I were just married on her in August. The piano bar is a blast! The majority of our group (59 of us) spent every night there. The casinos were pretty friendly to alot of us also.... TIP - play the slots closer to the Bar, they are the ones that paid big - I think it was so everyone could see people winning and would play more - NOBODY in the back of the casino was winning at all! Didn't get to see the shows, but some of the others in my group went and said they were fabulous. Here's a picture of us before we set sail... Any specific questions, feel free to ask!!

hi, my wife and I will be on the victory feb.29 to the western carib. This is our first carnival cruise. How were the days at sea? I heard you have to reserve lounge chairs at 7 in the morn.

Would like in info on the Victory. We are booked for Sept 2004 from New York to Canada.

Cat. 8A upper deck cabin # 6424 on the aft of the ship. This cabin appears to be "L" shaped on the deck plans. Anyone been in this cabin or one like it please tell us all about it and anything about the ship we need to know.

Have any of you submitted a review on the Victory? We are going in March and would love to hear about the ship.

I found with the new towel policy on the Victory, that it was much easier to find a deck chair. You have to give them you sign and sail number in order to get a towel, if you do not return the towel, you are charged $22. This helps the deck chair situation alot because people do not want lose the towel and have to pay the money, so they don't leave them on the chair unattended and the are also not going to leave anything of their own on a chair at risk it might get stolen.

Have fun.... I'm extremely jealous.

Did anyone who went on the Victory do any shore excursions on the Western Carib route? I found a few tour operators, but wondered what you all did.

We're sailing on victory jan 18/04 to the western caribbean. Haven't booked any tours yet. We decided that we'd go to chankanaab park (by cab) in cozumel, maybe do a tour in Jamaica and hit the beach in the grand cayman (I'd love to do the sting ray swim, but my husband is a water non-lover and we're taking a 2 and a 5 year old).

hi,my wife and are going on the Victory Feb.29 to the western Carib. Do you have any
suggestions for snorkling excursions for beginners or any beaches that you liked.
We plan to do the stingray city tour in GC and Dunns river falls in Jamaica.

I am a cruise agent and I have the price list for the western caribbean, I just got back from the Victory on 12-14-03
We went to Cozumel, Grand Cayman and Jamaica. Had a Blast!
In Cozumel we went to Play Sol Beach. We decided to take the taxi instead of doing the party Boat tour over (the party boat cost $39.00 pp and your only on the beach for 2 hours) with the taxi ride, you can stay there as long as you want. It's an Open Bar, they have a little zoo and shops, plenty of beach chairs, a pool, food, and more. On the ship it cost us $29.00 pp
Then we did some shopping and went to Carlos and Charlies (a must!)

In Grand Cayman we went to Stingray City, The Turtle farm and Hell

Jamaica we did Dunn's River Falls and Margarittaville!

We are giving our children (grown..but still our children) the trip as their Christmas presents. We are the Lockhart family. Dennis & I are mid 50's ( but we like to think of ourselves as VERY< VERY young mid 50's..heck! it is only a birthdate!); Kevin & Lisa are our married children (mid 30's); Gregg...our single son ( and hopefully his girlfriend...if not...our single son) who will be turning 30... Dennis & I sailed on the VICTORY in 2002; it was great! Hope to talk to you soon! Roni
