Fun Pass Pre Registration
I know they have this nifty thing of pre registering on their web page. What my question is is.. How far in advance can you pre register??
Thanks

Re: Fun Pass Pre Registration
I believe that you can pre-register anytime in advance of your cruise. We are going in Feb. and have already registered. It will be interesting to see if this saves any time at embarkation. Hope you enjoy your cruise.

Re: Fun Pass Pre Registration
You have to do it at least 40 days prior to sailing to ensure that you get the fun-pass thingey on your docs.

Re: Re: Fun Pass Pre Registration
Am I missing something here? I pre-registered yesterday and all this does is
gives carnival the information to start lining travel for you if the ship gets
delayed getting back to port? I thought it was a prefrinted form with credit
card info to get your sail and sign cards faster.

Re: Fun Pass Pre Registration
I just went through the pre registration.. it asks basic information.. We don't leave till May 30th. But I feel good to have it done and found out I got an upgrade in the process from an inside cabin to an outside. Now to figure out what exact cabin type it is.
woohoo went from inside on the Lido deck to and Outside on the Lido deck.

Re: Fun Pass Pre Registration
It is designed to get you through the entire reg. process at the pier easier. When you arrive at the pier (according to the Carnival rep with whom I spoke), your info will already be in the computer. Should make one less line for you to stand in.....that's the promise anyway. I didn't register 40 days before my sailing, but when I got my docs they indicated that I had registered for my Fun Pass.

Re: Fun Pass Pre Registration
The site actually says 2 days before sailing and to print the very last page as proof if you wait till after your documents are done.
At least thats what it said earlier today.

Re: Fun Pass Pre Registration
Verrrrrry Interesting
Can someone essplain to me what is a "Fun Pass" and what is a "Sail & Sign" card?
My TA must have neglected to provide me with this information the day he swiftly swiped my credit card through his machine in order to get my booking. (whom, by the way, will be getting a warm christmas greeting from me as a result of all the "non+information" he provided to me)
Thanx

Re: Fun Pass Pre Registration
This is the address to the Fun Pass registration page on Carnival. https://funpass.carnival.com/SignIn.aspx
The S and S card is the card you have on the ship ... YOu can buy things on it and it is charged to your cabin. (or rather the credit card you have on file for your cabin)

Re: Fun Pass Pre Registration
I agree with Ashkins, I pre-registered just the other day and I was less than 14 days from sailing. After registering, it tells you to print the last page so you get admission to the "FunPass" registration line at the pier. Will this save you any time? Uh, maybe. But probably not since the "FunPass" line will probably be as long as the normal line.
The Sign&Sail card is a credit card you get at the counter at registration for all your onboard purchases. The ship works as a cashless society. The only place you'll see cash exchanging hands is in the casino. Otherwise, you carry this card with you all the time. And if you lose the card, I hope I find it quick. Cause we can get cash in the casino on it. <wink>

Re: Re: Fun Pass Pre Registration
I just read on another post that it will take time until everybody uses the fun pass, before
it will be faster. This couple just returned last Sat. and the fun pass line was
three times longer and people were getting on board faster in the other line.

Re: Fun Pass Pre Registration
Oh well....I was hoping that since some TA's weren't telling customers about the fun pass (mine didn't) it would be the *shorter* line.
Doesn't matter to me! If I'm in line, at least I'll be in line to get on MY SHIP!! I could be waiting in far worse lines.

Re: Fun Pass Pre Registration
Is it necessary for us to have (pick up) our fun pass at time of embarkation? Can we not do it say "the next day sometime"???
I might refister online the day we receive our tickets and would pick up the fun pass the next day. Is this possible? If not, why not?
What exactly does this fun pass do for me?
Thanx

Re: Fun Pass Pre Registration
I think you might be confused about the "FunPass." This is something fairly new, in about the last few months. The way I understand it is, "FunPass" is just their online registration form so when you get to the counter to board your personal information is already in their computers and the agent at the desk doesn't have to key in your information. This is to speed up the boarding time.
Apparently, when you get to the pier you will be allowed to file into a line for "FunPass" registration. Then you will go to a counter agent who already has your information so they will just need to see your credit card for your Sign & Sail account.

Thomas
