Default Doc question when leaving early

This may have already been answered but I don't know how to search. We are going on the Carnival Cruisemates cruise in Jan. and are booked on a Gty. I have read where some people don't receive their docs until a couple of days before the ship departs. We are leaving 5 to 6 days before the ship departs, will there be a problem or do you think the docs will get here before that?

If iou're not part of a group booking you can request your docs as soon as you're paid in full.

Tiger.. I suspect that docs will be in before you leave. HOWEVER, if they don't you still won't have a problem. Your name will be on the manifest, and you can just pick up docs at the pier... no problem.

I would let Nancy know what date you're leaving for Florida though.

Thanks Kuki I did e-mail Nancy. I'm not worried that I won't be able to get on the ship but am curious because I have never sailed with a group cruise and with a gty room. Usually we have our room # and are traveling on our own. I have no idea how the document thing works in this case. I will need to know so that when my husband asks me I will have the answer. I know that he will be asking me soon as we leave in 23 days.
