shopping on the islands

I am going on a southern carribean cruise in March and am a first time cruiser. I would like some information on where is the best shopping for handmade goodies. Any suggestions????

USually the "straw markets" that are located close to the pier is where you will find many 'local' goods. If you take a privaste tour of the island your driver will also know of some places to stop and get local items. Understand that he also probably gets a kickback from the vendor or the vendor is related to him. <G>
