My children are young yet (9 and 4) and have no understanding of why postcards take so long to travel through the mail, and why Mom and Dad are home before they get them! So on our last two trips to Mexico, I had friends that went the month before, and had them pick up some postcards. I addressed all of them and wrote simple messages on the back telling them how much I love them and miss them. I then would mail one from home, one from the airport, and would have my mother mail 3 others each day, so they were getting mail every day we were gone. Of course I also mailed the "real" postcards while were were there, which we of course beat home. My kids are still to young to look for the postmark and seemed more excited to see where Mom and Dad were right then! It made me feel better knowing they were "hearing" from us everyday, and they enjoyed getting the mail each day too.
So......anyone want to help me out here??? We're cruising on the Fantasy in April and I would love to have a total of about 10 postcards showing the boat, Freeport and Nassau. I'll pay you for the cards and also postage.
And if you like my idea, I'll return the favor for those sailing after me!
Will you be aboard the Fantasy? Postcards from just the boat and Nassau would be plenty--we'll supplement the 'real' ones with Freeport and any activities we do. We are leaving the 17th for Florida, so it would be close, but it would work if you'd be willing! You can email me at: firstname.lastname@example.org Thank you!!
