Default Category 1A Cabins

Aloha,
I hope to take my first cruise by the end of the year and perusing thru the brochure I was wondering if anyone stayed in the cheapest inside cabin on Ecstasy or any other ship and altho they stress that service is the same no matter what cabin you stay in, I'm very curious just how true that actually is.

It makes no difference what cabin you're in therefore it's 100% true.

Last cruise we were our dinner table mates were paying top dollar for the best cabins and we were staying in the cheapest rooms. We all got the same food and service. Rooms are a place to sleep. Save a buck on the room and spend it on excursions. Enjoy your trip.

But remember that the difference in cost between a 1A and a 4A is minimal. I poked my head in a 1A and was REAL glad we had gotten a 4A (and ended up in a 4D with the upgrade)!

The 1A's look like a kids summer camp room. Those bunks did NOT look very comfortable and I can report that the 4D was lovely.

I've always booked 1A guarantees on the short Carnival sailings and always got upgraded at least to a 4A ... worth a shot if you would be OK with the IA if things don't work out.
