Default Questions about Carnival Victory

We will be sailing on the Carnival Victory April 11, 2004. We booked a category 8A cabin with an extended balcony (Cabin 6432) it is right over the Adriatic Lounge. Just wondering about the noise? This will be our first balcony cabin so I hope we made a good decision. Do they have lounge chairs on the balcony? Anyone else out there sailing with us? Any information would be helpful. Thanks

Hi Krista,
This will be my husband and my third cruise. First with Carnival. Really looking forward to it. We enjoyed the past two NCL ships we cruised on. I think you will have alot of fun. Do you know what deck your cabin is on? Maybe we will meet up on the ship.

Hi, we have not been assigned a cabin yet. Do you have any pertinant info that would be helpful before we head on the high seas. BTW, we are from Canada, how about yourself?

Krista,

Not really sure what type of information you are looking for - cabins, excursion, etc. Let me know and I will try and help answer any questions. What I do know is that we are doing our own excursions this trip. We have done some research on our ports and have found that it is cheaper to do our own excursions. We are flying down a day early. Last year we bought the cruise/air package and almost missed our ship. Our plane had mechanical trouble. It was very stressful. We are from Michigan.

The Adriatic lounge has some music in the evening...it was fairly mello stuff and not loud. The Arctic Lounge is the disco which would be loud till the wee hours it's down a bit from the Adriatic Lounge. I don't think you'll experience that much noise.

During the days at sea the art showings and auctions take place in the Adriatic Lounge...
so that wouldn't merit much noice either.

Enjoy your balcony!!

Jennifer,

We are on the Victory in September New York to Canada in the same type cabin as you will be in. Ours is 6424 next to yours.

We have been searching for someone that has been in this "L" shaped cabin and as well was wondering about the lounge noise.

Please oh please come back or email us after your cruise in April and let us know all about the details of the cabin and the Victory.

Your info will be appreicated and Thanks in advance for it.

Sherry

Sherry,

I will email you when we get back from our cruise in April. This will be our first balcony cabin and we our really looking forward to it. It has been hard to get any information about the " L " shaped cabins. I hope there won't be a problem with the noise. If anyone else has any information about this type of cabin or the lounge noise it would be appreciated.

My wife and I just returned from a trip to the Western Caribbean on the Victory (Feb 2-9)
and really enjoyed the trip. We met several people on the ship and are keeping up our friendship with them. The room you are in will be fine as the group in the lounge you are above are not real loud. They are from the Phillipines, a fine lady singer, male pianist, male guitar, and male drummer. Also that lounge is not open late. We liked the cruise so much (our first) that we booked the Eastern Caribbean on Victory for April 4th.
Enjoy

I agree with Sandra and Tom the music in that lounge is soft easy listening music, it's also where the Captain's party is held. Have fun, it is a great ship.

we were on the victory in january in cabins 6299 and 6301. I found both to be noisy, the casino must be right bellow it, because I kept hearing the slot machines. The good thing is that I was so tired, no amount of noise kept me awake. I also found 6299 always smelled of cigarette smoke but not 6301.

Hi Delron,
Did you wave to me as you were leaving the ship? Ha! We were going on as you were coming off. I really felt bad for the people as we were leaving to go home they had rain. We had sunshine the whole time. Did you go on a Western? Sorry your cabins were noisy and smelled. We used the complementary spray.
