Default Skippers club

Has anybody used the Skippers club out of Miami recently ?

I have been escorted directly to my cabin in the past, but have heard stories saying they have stopped that since 9-11.

Any input would be helpful.

I have used it twice recently and you are not escorted to your cabin. You fill out your paperwork and then go up the stairs to the key collection area and you proceed onto the ship.

Hi There 3FO, Isn't Capt. Baruccio wonderful! What a pleasant person. My DH and I have also had the pleasure of "Multiple" Paradise cruises. Most likely May will be our last... ;( . Are you traveling on the repositioning cruise? Sue Sue

Hi Sue.
Yes, Capt. Vito has been very kind to me and I am looking forward to my next cruise. Hopefully he will be aboard for the repositioning as it looks like I will be going on that one.

Can I ask: What is the "Skippers Club"?

Skipper's Club according to Carnival:
"The Skipper’s Club program is an exclusive service designed to afford guests in deluxe suite accommodations with special registration and boarding privileges. This service is now available in Miami, Port Canaveral, Los Angeles, New Orleans, San Juan, Galveston,Tampa and New York"
Its essentially for VIP guests and those in the best suites.

Thank you very much. We haven't booked a suite so I guess the normal lines will be for us!

That is fine. I don't care about an escort to the room, I just wanted to be able to board without waiting in the crowd.
If all we need to do is check in, then walk on, that is good enough for me.

Is the office still on the left as you go in?

yes, but be early as it closes at either 3 or somewhere around that. We used it 3 cruises in a row then we got there too late the last time but they rushed us through past the lines.

Hey 3FO, Do you know who the CD is for Paradise right now? Also, is CP Peng still there?

Hi SueSue,

Returned from the Paradise on Dec. 19. Shawn Bussey had just returned to the Paradise. We were so glad to see her again. We sailed on the Paradise over Christmas of '02 and she was leaving one week later for a stint in Alaska. She is so full of vim and vigor. What a treat.

I just returned from the Paradise on 1-25 and that was Shawns last trip. I don't know who the new CD was going to be.
