The Paradise is a beautiful and extremely pleasureable experience! (As you can see by my sailing history below!) My husband and I always check out her itinerary first when sailing (at least until October of this year when she goes to a smoking ship). From then on, no reason to sail Carnival exclusively....

Roatan has excellent snorkeling and diving. If you like doing either make sure to do it there. The coral is still alive and flourishing unlike some other more popular ports where it has been killed by to many people touching it or swatting it with their fins.

We went on Carnival's catamaran excursion in Roatan and had a wonderful time.

Whatever you do, don't book the ship tour "west end island tour." It was very boring (unless all you want to see are some plants and butterflies). Our friends hired a cab driver (from the many there at the dock) and he took them around all day for $20. He took them to a beach and waited while they swam, then to a restaurant for lunch and a general tour around. We didn't think much of Roatan because of our crappy tour, but our friends loved it. Next time, I think I would do what they did.

Just returned from Paradise eastern carib. The ship was great. Not one complaint. But make sure you stop in and see Roberta in the America Bar.
