Default running

My son is a cc/track runner. He runs between 6-10 miles per day. We will be on the Holiday and I know it's smaller.
Can anyone tell me if it's really possible to keep up training while on the ship? Do other runners really run while on board? He is 18, maybe they have a gym that he can run in? We don't want him to distrub anyone but his training is important.

Hello, all of the ships have a gym on board and also a running track. I never have seen anyone running on them but I dont see why he couldnt. It is on a deck that you would be able to run without bothering anyone. I would say he shouldnt have a problem with the training.

Ten miles per day? Yikes! When does he rest so his body can recuperate?

Yes it is possible to run. My husband always runs, usually five miles. 10 times around = 1 mile. The running track is cushioned and nice to run on. There are usually several treadmills in the gym.

That's great news! He didn't want to loose any days but didn't want to miss his first cruise. He starts college in August and has to be ready. Again thanks for the responses.

Bless his heart - 100 times around that little track? Bores me just thinking about it, but I suppose it's better than nothing. Hope he can find a nice safe little route in the ports, as well.

He's thinking beach for days in port. He maybe 18 but I still worry. Do you think beaches are safe in Mexico? No way we can run along.

My husband also runs . . . a military man!!! While we were on the Conquest, he ran on the track a few times. On windy days, he found one leg of the track to be very easy, while running into the wind at 20 knots was more of a workout. The gym was also very nice and let us keep us our workout schedules.
