Default Soda by the glass and duty free liquor

I've read all about the soda cards and hiding alcohol in your luggage. What's the cost of an individual soda? Also, are the bottle prices for alcohol in the ship's shop at all reasonable?

Thanks

If I remember correctly, soft drinks were $1.00 a glass, $1.50 a can and $ 2.50 a bottle on the Conquest. The liquor prices on the ship were comparable with the prices we found in Cozumel. Remember, though, they will hold all liquor purchased until the last night of the cruise.

I have sailed on a few different cruise lines, Carnical Fascination in 1997 was one cruise and I had no problem walking down to the store on the ship and purchasing a bottle of kahlua or vodka and walking those bottles right back to my room.

Has this changed ???

I am on the Carnival Spirit on April 30th and would really like the above answered.

Thanks

You can either bring alcohol initially on your first trip on to the ship in your luggage. You can also buy alchohol on the ship but you have to pay like a 10 dollar uncorking fee to drink it on the boat. I have been on 7 cruises and have yet to have a problem with bringing my alcohol in my luggage on the inital trip on the boat.
